Coyote Column

March 19, 2021

Dear Kumeyaay Families,

We are very excited as we plan to have our students back on campus on April 12th. This is the day we have been waiting for, for over a year. There is light! We are grateful for your endurance, enthusiasm, and support during this time. Kumeyaay truly is a very special community of staff, students, and families. We stick together through it all with strength and compassion.

Thank you for joining our Parent Office Hour this week. Here are the notes from this week's Parent Office Hour. This is a great resource for information about school re-opening on April 12th, COVID testing, vaccinations, etc.

(More reopening information will be posted to our school website for review and reference shortly.) Please feel free to join us at the next office hour. Details are below, and all families are welcome.

A parent email was sent on Thursday, March 18th. If you have not done so already, please reference this email for our final preference survey. This survey must be completed for all families by Monday, March 22nd.

Help Us Reach Our Goal!

The Kumeyaay Foundation works year-round at raising donations to fund our Music, Physical Education, and Fine Artists programs. Each school year, we start fresh at raising the necessary funds. Due to COVID-19, it has been nearly impossible to fundraise since March 2020, meaning that some of our fundraising events did not happen. We are in good shape to support the school for this coming fall, but we urge you, if you are able, to support our Foundation so that we can ensure our ongoing support for the coming academic year and beyond.
