A message from Mrs. Lehmann
I am very excited to start my first year as a school counselor and since I am new to your school, I would like to share some information about myself. My husband, Matt and I have two wonderful children. Both attend school in Sioux City. We are a very active family and enjoy being outdoors. We also have a 3 year old Olde English Bulldogge named, Nelson. He is a gentle natured dog and our family loves him dearly. My husband and I coach girls softball. As a family, we love to go golfing, swimming and fishing in the summer. We absolutely love to take vacations and plan to visit every state in the union.
I have been trained to follow the American School Counseling Association model. My work with students will focus on three domains, which include, academics, career, and personal and social development. Please don't hesitate to utilize my counseling services, which include individual, small group and classroom guidance sessions. I am ready and willing to help in any way I can. I simply can't wait to get to know each and every one of you. :)- Mrs. Lehmann

What is the best way to help my child succed this year?
Meet with your School Counselor at the beginning of the year to discuss your child’s challenges and concerns with the school counselor. As a parent, you know your child best. However, the school counselor can help you better understand your child as a student. It’s important to encourage your child’s expression of needs, hopes and frustrations. School counselors are trained to help your children and have have many resources to share with parents and teachers for almost any situation. -Classroom Solutions

New Character Education Program this Year: Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your Best!
This year the school counseling department will be implementing a new school-wide character education program that focuses on helping kids become champions at school and in life. Their motto, "Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best," is incorporated into everything they do, from school assemblies to common core-aligned lesson plans. This is a fresh new way to learn how we should treat others.
