USD Reopening Plans
Superintendent Denise Coleman shared an update regarding Union School District’s reopening efforts. You can view the presentation slides here.
USD is currently in Stage 2 of the reopening stages, providing instruction and distance learning support on campuses for small groups in addition to distance learning.
In the coming month, we will begin to transition to in-person instruction with the goal of having students back on campus for in-person instruction in January. TK-1st grade students will begin in December with Meet and Greet sessions during which students will have a chance to meet their teacher in person and learn the routines of campus.
USD will be following all health and safety requirements established by the State and County Health departments and outlined in the district’s approved Reopening Guide.
Super PAWS Video from Meklit
Each month, teachers will nominate students who are showing Super PAWS during distance learning. This month, Mrs. Talley nominated her student Meklit for always working hard, being in good spirits and spreading positivity during Zooms. Please join me in congratulating her! She led the school in the Upstander Pledge today. Below is a link to the video.
