my story

why i was so important in westward expansion

I was important in westward expansion because i played a main role in bringing texas into the united states as a consetiteunt state.

why i moved to the west.

i moved to the west because when i was 14 years old my mom took me to tennessee and what i did there was learned how the indians did their things and i learned their language and i stayed there for a long time before i moved to Coahuila y Tejas, in mexico.

what is manifest destiny?

the 19th-century doctrine or belief that the expansion of the US throughout the American continents was both justified and inevitable. and i believe this is true because everything was made for a reason and some of the stuff that was created needs to be taken that how life goes.

my quote during the war.

"To secede from the Union and set up another government would cause war. If you go to war with the United States, you will never conquer her, as she has the money and the men. If she does not whip you by guns, powder, and steel, she will starve you to death. It will take the flower of the country — the young men.

What my hopes and my desires are.

my goal was to make the texas state apart of america and to do that i needed to pull some strings and get me there it took a lot of hard work and a lot of dealing with andrew jackson but that was my only hope and dream at the time.

where i lived.

i first lived in virginia until i was 35 then i moved to tennessee then i moved again to mexico and that was the last place i lived at.

what life was like.

Life at the time was really rough and was not a good time to live there was a lot of drama about texas and mexico and i decided to help with that but my role was not easy and it was very hard to stay alive and care for my family.
