Curriculum Corner
Literacy
We have started learning about folktales beginning with fables and have spent the last week learning about Tall Tales. These include stories such as Paul Bunyan, Johnny Appleseed, Pecos Bill, Davy Crockett, etc. Our focus through teaching these folktales is for learners to be able to recount/retell the story to determine their central message or moral.
We will continue our study of folktales by reading fairy tales and American legends.
