What's Happening...
Students in grades 9-11 received MCAS scoring reports on Wednesday. If you have any questions about the report or MCAS in general please contact Assistant Principal, Kate Trainor by emailing kate.trainor@tyngsboroughps.org.
The replacement of the turf on Pierce Field is officially completed. The Field Hockey team christened the new turf with a big win over Narragansett on Wednesday. Thank you to the community for your support of this project.
Many great things are taking place in classes, some highlights from this week include Emerging Technology students taking part in a school wide scavenger hunt using hpreveal, Theater Design students gave costuming presentations, and Intro to Portuguese students practiced conversing with a native speaker over Skype. Also this week members of the senior class have been busy meeting with college representatives. This year representatives from University of New England, Worcester State, Coastal Carolina, UMass-Dartmouth, Assumption, Bentley, UMaine, UMass- Amherst, Keene State, Merrimack, Suffolk, Boston University, Umass-Lowell and many more have presented to interested seniors on what their school has to offer. College representatives will continue to visit THS throughout the fall.
Homecoming has arrived! This morning we held a trivia competition between classes to get things rolling. Students have begun work on class videos, banners, and wall decorations. Next week will be filled with activities each day culminating with a pep rally on Friday celebrating Tiger Pride and a day of athletic events on Saturday, October 13th.
Have a great long weekend. #tpsprepares
