MICROSOFT TEAMS
In an effort to streamline and provide a secure environment for possible virtual meetings, all teachers will utilize Teams to post weekly agendas and to hold secure virtual meetings with classes. You may continue to use other platforms (Moodle, etc.), but the hub for our school is Teams starting this year. Please click here to read more.
LESSON PLANS, SCOPE & SEQUENCE, QUARTER CALENDARS & SYLLABUS
This year, lesson plans, scope & sequences, quarter calendars, and syllabus will be turned in to your department’s Team, not Google Classroom. Department Chairs will turn in to the “Department Chair” Team. Please see this document for instructions.

WONDER
Reflection from Mia Orgeron
This morning's gospel is one I tend to skim through because of the familiarity of it. How often have I heard those words? Yet today as I read "and learn from me" I was able to pause. We are always learning, being molded into His hands. What an opportunity for joy when I accept the lessons being offered. Then my burden shall be light. My prayer to each of you is that during these last few weeks of summer, you're able to take His yoke and lighten your burdens.
Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus said:
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am meek and humble of heart;
and you will find rest for yourselves.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
SERVICE
Updates from the Admins
After Friday's administrators' meeting, we will have more information on specifics regarding the reopening plan and will provide information on WEDNESDAY, July 22 @ 9:00 am with a virtual faculty meeting in Microsoft Teams. Meeting will be held in the SLCHS Team under General. In the meantime, here is what I do know:
- While in Phase 2 - no more than 24 students in one room, regardless of room size
- Face Coverings (mask or shield) will be required, to what extent is still being determined and the school will provide faculty/staff with at least one, as well as cleaning supplies.
- We will have procedures in place for when cases arise
- Classroom arrangement must be carefully considered, maximizing space.
All sofas must be removed. Teachers and staff who brought in the flexible seating are responsible for its removal from school grounds as soon as possible. Please do not use the school's dumpsters and coordinate your efforts with the school custodians, who are busy with the floors. I ask that we not overburden them. Our summer crew are doing amazing things and be sure to thank them! Thanks for your understanding.
Kudos
COR Retreat: Way to go, Father Long and Adison Giambrone as they led a group of students through the wilderness of Wyoming. Sounds wonderful but mentally and physically challenging. We can't wait to hear all about it.
FBLA: Ashley Lavine & FBLA Club for such an impressive showing at The National FBLA Conference. Caroline Obluda placed 1st in Business Communications & Juliana Broussard placed 9th in Electronic Career Portfolio.
Facilities Update
- Anyone wanting to request a space on campus for meetings, events, etc. should complete the Facility Request and Waiver Form on the Events page of the St. Louis Website (HERE).
- Way to go, Coach Johnson for securing a donor to have the gym painted and also for overseeing the floor refinishing.
- Our summer workers, custodians and Coach Bill Painter have been working diligently on the individual classroom maintenance and improvements you all submitted as apart of the Strategic Vision process. They are doing a great job to not only sanitize the campus for the start of school but also give you all a classroom to be proud of!
