Aiming to Keep You Informed
April 12, 2019
From the Office
This week students participated in the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). We are so proud of their efforts! They did a great job this week and we also had a great turn out for our Wake the Brain sessions hosted by our PE department! Thank you to Mr. Buchholz, Mr. Gabriel and Mrs. Hilden for opening the gym to our students at 7:15 this week!
Today, we were also lucky to have a student presenter come speak with us about her company. Lauren Robinson is the CEO of Foodvie, an app that supports those who have food allergies allowing them to see what items they are able to eat without having to repeatedly check labels! Lauren has been part of every step in developing this company and working with other groups and developers along the way. It was inspiring for our students to hear an 8th grader speak to them who saw a need, created a vision and has executed that. She encouraged our students as they continue their final work on their Innovation Projects! Thank you Lauren for coming! Check out her app and website here: https://www.foodvie.com/
