Celebrate Instruction with Scaffolding!
Scaffolding is a pretty special practice and is greatly valued for every child's learning journey. The effect of scaffolding on a child's learning according to Hattie is 0.82, nearly double the rate of learning. If it's that important and effective, why wouldn't you jump in? Let's go!
Check out the article below as a preview to Thursday's PD. Consider the following:
- How do you plan for anticipating where students might get stuck in a lesson and how you'll respond?
- Which of the listed prompts do you already use regularly?
- What are some of the ways the reteach suggestions differ between the little to some accountability levels?
