"Helmets to Hardhats’ (H2H) mission is to help transition our military heroes into successful civilian careers in the building trades.
H2H was created by the Center for Military Recruitment, Assessment and Veterans Employment. H2H is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit joint labor-management driven entity that connects transitioning active-duty military service members, veterans, National Guard and Reservists with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry. Since 2003, we’ve helped over 40,000 military personnel successfully transfer into civilian careers in the construction trades.
How do we do it? We’ve partnered with 15 international construction trade unions – like the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers (SMART) – that have made a commitment to help our military heroes successfully transition to civilian life and work. We help service members explore the construction trades, get them started with earn-while-you-learn apprenticeship training programs through these partner organizations, and help connect them with employers. We also educate service members on how they can use their G.I. Bill benefits to supplement their incomes while participating in a registered apprenticeship program.
We’re proud and honored to be our military heros’ gateway to meaningful, long-lasting, well-paying careers in the construction trades through world-class apprenticeship education programs."
"We are mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster mothers and female legal guardians who have children serving in the military, guard or reserves, or children who are veterans. We support each other and our children while promoting patriotism. Our organization focuses on our mission every single day and will never, ever, forsake our troops, our veterans or the families of our Fallen Heroes.
We have nearly 6,000 members from over 200 Chapters throughout the nation."

Carepacks sends care packages to US deployed troops around the world. Packages are mailed to Service Members from all branches of the service and they do not have to reside in Massachusetts.
The G.I. Ginger Betty Foundation was started in 2007, when Beth Veneto (Owner of Ginger Betty’s Bakery) was sitting next to a soldier on a flight to Atlanta, GA. That flight changed her life- meeting this soldier instilled a new sense of Thankfulness for our military service members in her that blossomed into The GI Ginger Betty Foundation!
She knew she wanted to do something to thank our brave men and women overseas and back home in the states. She figured out the perfect way to do just that, by using her businesses sweet treats to spread ginger joy and smiles. She started the G.I. Ginger Betty Foundation, a non-profit that ships boxes of her beloved gingersnap cookies along with candy and Thank you letters. The Foundation has shipped hundreds of boxes since 2007. Boxes of the delicious Ginger Betty cookies have been shipped all over the world from military bases here in the U.S. to overseas in Africa, Afghanistan, Iraq, and even onto ships in the middle of the ocean. With your help- We hope to continue spreading ginger joy by shipping many more boxes to our military heroes!
