Safety Alert: Changes to the Kindergarten Playground Routines
Dear Sunset Ranch Families,
Our #1 priority is safety for our students. We have noticed an increase in students of all grade levels playing in the kindergarten playground after dismissal. We love to see kids being kids! Unfortunately, walking on the concrete walls, standing on the tables where we eat snack, and rough-housing aren’t behaviors we can encourage. In order to keep our kids safe, the kindergarten playground will close after kindergarten dismisses. Teachers will continue to supervise as students are dismissed from K1, K2, and K3, but will close the playground at 2:20pm, when the rest of the campus releases. Kindergarten students who have not been picked up by 2:20pm will be escorted to the office so we can keep a watchful eye out.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns. We hope you understand our concern and hope that you will support this new practice.
Ms. Hopton, Mrs. Camillucci, Mrs. Bauer (K1), Mrs. Kirk (K3), and Mrs. Stowers (K2)
Calling all 5th and 6th grade students!
Each week, flyers that would have taken money & supplies to print and time to count out & distribute are placed on the VB on the school website. This is where many of our community partners advertise after school clubs, sports, child care and more.
