Principal's Message
This week I am excited to begin initial evaluation meetings. During the meeting, we will discuss your self-assessment and beginning of year PDP. I am very excited to learn more about each of you through these meetings. A sign up sheet is included here. Please know that if none of these times work for your schedule or if times fill up, you can also email me a date and time.
Expectations for the Initial Evaluation Meeting
The initial evaluation meeting is comprised of a discussion about your self-assessment, PDP, and setting up your first observation. Have an idea about when we can schedule your first observation (i.e. bring possible dates).
Self-Assessment
*Please know that your self-assessment encompasses how you see yourself as an educator. This is your time to share your strengths and needs with me so I can get to know you better. I will ask you guiding questions to better understand how you lead in classroom, how you build relationships with students, and how you facilitate learning.
Examples of questions I might ask include:
How do you empower your students to work collaboratively?
How do you engage reluctant students?
Describe how you monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on student needs.
How do you incorporate multiple perspectives in lessons?
PDP
Goals were shared with you at our July 3 kickoff meeting. You are welcome to add additional goals but this is not required.
Interim Assistant Principal
Dr. Branch is delighted to be at PUE while we search for an Assistant Principal. He would like for you to introduce him to students. I am including information about Dr. Branch in the Sunday Message so that families know that he will be with us over the course of the next month.

Assistant Principal Input
During our Faculty Meeting on Tuesday, staff will have the opportunity to provide input regarding the qualities you’d like to see in our next Assistant Principal. Track 3 staff, your voice matters. You can fill out the survey to provide me with your feedback.
Special Track 4 Announcements
Open House for Track 4 on Thursday, August 15 will be filled with fun! Session 1 is from 6:15-7:00. Session 2 is from 7:05-7:50. Make sure that your presentation is informative and concise. Please allow enough time for parents to ask questions. The PTA would like for you to share a short video presentation during your session.

Teachers, please distribute the data sheet and t-shirt forms to families prior to showing the PTA presentation. The t-shirt form and data sheet will be in your mailboxes prior to Open House.
Please turn on the volume because I am narrating the presentation. The presentation is about 4 minutes.
Please collect the data sheet from families and put them in the PTA mailbox in the workroom prior to leaving Open House.
