Robotics information
Do you have a child interested in Science Technology Engineering Art and Math? FIRST Robotics may just be the activity for them!
FTC consists of teams of 15 students ages 6th -8th grades for the 2018-2019 school year. Each registered team designs and builds a robot specific to the game and competes against other teams and presents their robot to judges.
Next year's theme is space theme to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the walk on the moon. Middle School FTC Theme is - Rover Ruckus!!
The season starts with a kickoff early September and runs through mid-December. Teams typically meet 2 times during the week and also on Saturday to design, build and program their robot. Teams also create an Engineering Notebook to document their journey and present to judges.
Mentors from each of the Middle School Teams will be in attendance at the information night on Tuesday, May 15th in the Lake Orion High School KIVA at 6:30 pm. This will be a great way to find out more about the program and how to get you and your child involved.
