Paying ATTENTION
You encode information only when you are fully paying attention in class. Memory is first perceived by the senses with is a perception.
ATTENTION IS IMPORTANT
Make sure you fully remove yourself from areas that can make you become distracted. Such As:
- loud noises
- tv
- or cell phones
Storage
Memory is stored either as short term or long term period in your life, where it's basically repetition the more you practice or remember something, the stronger the connections gets, and the easier it is to remember.
STUDYING IS KEY. GOOD NIGHT's REST IS ALWAYS HELPFUL IN RETAINING INFORMATION
RECALLING & RETRIEVING INFO.
Usually done unconsciously, and is dependent on how effectively it was remembered. Forgetting information is often mostly caused by distractions. so make sure your paying attention.
TIP 1:
When studying for a vocabulary quiz?
- Make sure to write the words down correctly, and use index cards to study or if your an online person use quiz-let. Basically an online flashcard helpful study guide.
- You can soon drill yourself ad practice this strategy until you soon know it without even thinking about it.
- When new words are given to you, you can also use Mnemonic devices, this strategy involves association new information with older information so then it is easier to retrieve the information later.
TIp 2:
You can learn things in chunks, which is simply relating terms and concepts together and so then you must retrieve this information it'll be easier.
GOOD WAYS TO IMPROVE STUDY"S
Eat healthy, Study all time, and Get good solid rest and don't forget to exercise. These are key essentials to a healthy balanced lifestyle to excel in life.
