News and Notes
Happy Tuesday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to enjoy the day off. Please remember that this Friday is a school day. This is a calendar change. If you order Lunch with Lou, he has added lunch options for 10/23 online.
We have our first Parent's Guild Meeting. It will be tonight at 7:30, via Zoom.
- Meeting ID: 916 1138 4138
- Passcode: 998604
As we get into the colder weather, please remember the following items:
- The students will be going outside- please have them bring their coats and wear a warm sweater.
- Please label all jackets and outerwear with your child's name.
- Only uniform sweaters and sweatshirts are to be worn.
Please remember to put your child's name and grade on your dashboard during pickup. It makes it much easier for us and clears the line faster. Thank you for your continued patience with drop off/pick up.
The spirit shop has been updated with some new shirts and sweatshirts. Remember spirit day is every Friday this year. The link to the spirit shop is located below.
Have a great week,
TACHS Reminders - 8th grade
- TACHS registration will close next Friday, October 23rd, at 5pm. There will be no late registrations or "Walk-ins" this year.
- All high school choices must be listed on the TACHS website by November 5th.
Halloween is just around the corner! Students will be able to dress up in their Halloween costumes on Friday, October 30th. We will not have a parade this year, but the students will celebrate Halloween in their classrooms. Please remember that this is a school day so students' costumes cannot impede their movement, vision, etc.
*As you begin to plan for Halloween Costumes, please keep the following standards in mind:
-no scary, gory or inappropriate costumes (ask teacher/principal if you are unsure)
-no costumes that depict inappropriate characters or characters that are not positive examples for children in the world today
-no evil villains of any kind (so Batman is ok but NOT the Joker for example)
-no masks/face coverings or full face paint
-no props that depict weapons of any kind
-skirts must be no shorter than 2 inches above the knee
-students MUST wear tennis shoes with their costumes SO if the character normally wears sandals, for example, your child MUST wear tennis shoes anyway.
- No blow up Halloween costumes
