Carries a negative connotation. People often picture discipline as strict, harsh penalizations or retributions such as parents beating their kids for not doing the chores or finishing their homework.
2. Argument: "an exchange of diverging or opposite views, typically a heated or angry one."
Also carries a distasteful connotation, but the literal definition suggests that arguments don't ALWAYS have to be "heated" or "angry." Arguments range from two people politely discussing who's a better actor because of which movies they appeared in and why to 12 angry men in a jury deliberation room yelling, spitting and making threats in each other's face about if someone should be convicted guilty or innocent of a crime they may or may not have committed.
3. Food: "any nutritious substance that people or animals eat or drink, or that plants absorb, in order to maintain life and growth."
Carries a positive connotation because food is not only tasty in most cases, but it is also necessary to continue living. When people these days hear the word "food" their mouths start watering and they start imaging the savory flavor of their favorite nourishment to digest.
