RNE Newsletter October 12th, 2017
The Principal's Office
Dear RNE Family,
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! This week has been filled with lots of visits to classrooms. It is hard to believe we have completed our first quarter of the 2017-18 school year! Our students are up to the challenges set forth by their teachers. We were fortunate to have a visit from the Northwest Learning Community Program Specialists yesterday. They were able to visit 20 classrooms to see all the amazing levels of learning occurring! I am happy to report they were very impressed with the learning and teaching occurring in the classrooms! I have a special celebration planned for our awesome staff next Tuesday during our faculty meeting! I can't wait to celebrate this staff!
Tuesday evening our PTA was recognized at the school board meeting. The PTA received two awards- Model PTA and National School of Excellence. These are highly prestigious awards and we are so grateful for the work they do for us. Our PTA continues to ensure the needs of the community and students are met! We couldn't provide such quality field trips and community events without them. Our PTA rocks!!!!
I hope to see many of you at our youth day parade!
Take time to enjoy the upcoming weekend!
Best,
Maureen

ROSWELL YOUTH DAY PARADE THIS SATURDAY!
Join us this Saturday (Oct. 14th) to walk behind the Roswell North Youth Day parade float! Students need to be able to walk 2 miles and will need to have an adult chaperone.
Please come to the float on Mimosa Blvd in front of First Baptist Church of Roswell no later than 9:30am, come dressed in your Roswell North spirit wear and please bring a bag of individually wrapped candies (no toys or unwrapped candy please).
We will have fun dress up items for the kids to wear to be extra festive (first come first serve).
Student attendees will receive a homework pass at the end of the parade (route will end at the school so plan travel accordingly)
Hope everyone can make it!!
