Foster Parents Needed!
Over 160 children & youth in our community need ... a place to call home.
Can you help?
Family and children's Services of Guelph and Wellington County (FCS-GW) has an emergent need for foster parents. There are over 160 children and youth in care and approximately 73 foster homes. Sadly, due to our limited amount of homes, many children have to be placed outside of their home communities.
We are looking for flexible families who can provide a nurturing and safe place to call home.
Families complete a standardized homestudy and participate in a training series that focuses on how to parent children and youth who have experienced varied life experiences. The ability to care for sibling sets and adolescents is an asset, as well as working as part of the team and with a child or youth’s extended community.
Our families are experienced parents; childless; grandparents; younger or older couples; single, common law, married or same sex couples.
