Greetings from Westford School
The beginning of a wonderful school year....
I hope this Friday note finds you well. I'm excited to report that our first few school days have gone so very well. Please check out the slide show linked below for photos of students engaged in activities. My summer communication featured information on our new faculty and staff members and I invite you to reach out to extend a warm Westford welcome.
While this year is off to a great start, I also recognize that we are still often managing the impact of continued COVID cases and the individual and collective impact the pandemic has had on our community. From a mental health perspective, I also know that how we reflect and narrate our experiences matters. So, positive stressors like starting the year with a 1/3 of our faculty and staff absent, will pave the way for resilience and opportunities to continue to collaborate and grow together. To model a narrative that builds capacity and resilience, I can say our students demonstrated flexibility and our teachers collaborated even from home while sick to ensure everyone's experience was meaningful and on point. A huge thank you to families, students, and teachers for making Westford such a special and happy place to learn and grow.
I look forward to seeing you at Open House on Tuesday, September 20th, 6:00pm-7:00pm.
