Main Event is TONIGHT from 6:30-8:30! See below for more information!
Our next performance at the Fine Arts Festival on Saturday, December 3rd. The orchestra concert will start with the SCIS Beginner Orchestra, then the WIllow Springs Orchestras and finish with the High School Groups. The concert will begin at noon, we will let you know when musicians need to arrive in a few weeks!
We have so much to be thankful for this year. One of those is having the opportunity to teach these wonderful students. They brighten our day and we love getting to share our love of music with them. We wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving and hope you all enjoy time together this Thanksgiving Holiday!

Main Event - November 17th
Next Thursday is our Main Event social!! (Remember, this is for students who have already paid their fee for Main Event - if your child is not attending, feel free to skip this section!.)
TIME
Please drop your children off at Main Event Plano (3941 Central Expressway, Plano, 75023) at 6:30 p.m. They will need to check in with Mr. Sloan, Mrs. Gearhart, Ms. Coad, or Mrs. Winkler at the entrance upon arrival to receive their $10 Fun Pass, wrist band, and food ticket.
Please pick your child up at the front entrance (inside) of Main Event at 8:30 p.m. Parents are required to sign out their students with Mr. Sloan, Mrs. Gearhart, Ms. Coad, Mrs. Winkler or one of our parent chaperones before they leave, so that we know everyone has a ride safely. Thank you so much for picking up your student on time!
FOOD
Students will have the opportunity to play arcade games with their Fun Pass, bowl, play laser tag or billiards. Food will be served at the concession stand. When students check in, they will receive tickets to get their food items. Main Event is not able to accommodate special dietary needs; the dinner served is pizza and soft drinks.
Fine Arts Festival
LovejoyArts Fine Arts Festival
LovejoyArts will kick off its annual district event, the Fine Arts Festival, on Friday, December 2, 2016 featuring concerts by the Lovejoy Band program and a preview of the Varsity Cheerleaders UIL performance as well as WSMS Cheer. The Visual Art galleries will be available for touring between concerts and performances. The Festival continues all day on Saturday, December 3, 2016 with the first performances beginning at 10:00 in the morning at Lovejoy High School. This year's Festival will feature artwork from all campuses and students taking visual art courses. We will host performances from Lovejoy elementary music, choir, Color Guard, orchestra, studio dance, Majestics and theatre programs will be scheduled throughout the day. The newly renovated LHS Visual Arts studios will be open for public tours!
Orchestra Parents please come support our Lovejoy Fine Arts programs and see the amazing works the Fine Arts Festival has to offer! When choosing your volunteer time please keep in mind that the Orchestra concert begins at noon.
If your Lovejoy Arts student is participating in the festival, we hope to see all parents from every campus involved in serving the Festival with a donation or volunteer time.

Orchestra Formal Uniform Information!
For our next concert on December 3, we will be wearing our formal concert uniform.
Dresses and pants will be coming home with your student this week, so please be on the look out for those items.
Girls are issued a black dress. If you have not received it yet, it is still being altered and you will get it in time for the concert. In addition to the dress, girls are expected to wear black dress shoes to the concerts.
Boys are issued black tuxedo pants. If you have not received those yet, they are still be altered and you will get them in time for the first concert. Boys are responsible for getting a pleated wing tip tuxedo shirt, available at Al's formal wear or any tuxedo shop. Boys are expected to wear black socks and black dress shoes for concerts. At concerts boys will be given a tie and cummerbund to wear during the concert that will be turned in after the event.
