Special Visitor

Last week, the children wrote a letter to Santa asking for an Elf for our classroom. Well, guess what?! He came through! On Monday, a very cold box was delivered straight from the North Pole. Santa sent us our very own Elf to watch over us! After taking suggestions and a vote, we came up with a name for our Elf: Fritz Tinselbottom! He had all kinds of fun in our classroom (see pictures below). Best part…he watched over the boys and girls, making sure they had great behavior. I am happy to say, we had an overall improvement in our classroom this week! I think Fritz is making a positive difference! We cannot wait to see what joy he brings to our classroom next week!

Holiday Week Begins Monday!

We will start our fun-filled week on Monday. I have purchased all the items needed for this exciting time of year. Our activities will include:

  • making crafts and frames
  • creating ornaments
  • fun sticker-pages to enhance our creative journal writing
  • decorating sugar cookies (and enjoying them of course!)
  • Christmas Around the World centers (going room to room in our hallway to learn about each different country)
  • Polar Express Day on Friday (I am providing popcorn and drinks)

Please remember to send in $3-$5 by Tuesday for these activities. Thank you so much to the parents whom have already sent this in. I appreciate it!

Thank you so much to all of the families that sent in extra snack! We are so appreciative!!!

More Moves on the Rainbow Wall

Next week is the last week to test on sight words until after holiday break! Keep studying those sight words so you can move up the Rainbow Wall! This week, we had some friends add their names to our wall. Help me congratulate the following "smarties" for their hard work:

  • Red: Cameron Dillion and Mario (Rio) Gibson
  • Orange: Cory Baugher
  • Green: Alandria Richardson
  • Blue: Caelin Polnett

Note about Polar Express Party coming home in a folder near you!
