Irma Rangel Panther News
September 6, 2022
Welcome September!
This week I was fortunate to attend a new principal orientation with our partners at Young Women's Preparatory Network. I was so fascinated to learn about all our girls' opportunities within our school and how we differ from other magnets and schools across our district. Please know that your daughter is in the best possible place she could be in to empower her with the necessary tools to graduate not only high school but a four-year university. This place truly will change the lives of all our girls and the opportunities are limitless.
If you ever have a question about what we are doing or ideas on how to mentor or partner with our campus, please feel free to reach out to us.
Ms. Rojas

Staff Shout-Outs
Ms. Lewis- Thanks for sharing some lesson items and helping me to get some AP items ready for my HS classes this year. I am a little overwhelmed with some new levels of content.
Ms. Smith, Ms. D. Brown, and Mr. Stroud -Working together and being flexible to get our year started with 11th grade.
PALS and Ms. Martinez - Thanks for getting SEL materials printed and delivered to our campus.
Mr. Aronhalt & Mr. Hiles - Thanks for being the muscle and height to help beautify my room for the 1st week of school!
Ms. D. Brown - My daughter is very excited about her class. She feels like she is learning so much!
Ms. Manriquez - I wanted to write a shoutout to the middle school counselor, Ms. Manriquez, and thank her for making my daughter, Kennedy Chasak (7th grade) feel welcomed during her first week at Rangel. It was a bit of an adjustment coming in a week into the school year and not knowing anyone, but Ms. Manriquez was so kind and helpful, making sure she could her find her classes and that she had someone to sit with at lunch. It's so important to me as a parent that Kennedy has a trusted adult at school, and Ms. Manriquez has definitely cultivated that environment for her. So thank you so much!

Dismissal at Rangel
I want to thank you for your patience and support during the first week of school. We always expect heavy traffic to occur the first week of school and expect it to start flowing better as the school year progresses.
Please see our updated staggered release of students to help ease traffic in the driveway. We ask that all parents and guardians adhere to using the driveway so that we can keep our students safe and for cars to not block the student pick-up lane.
Please see slideshow linked below for uniform reminders.
