*Mixed Quizzes will take place every Wednesday starting in January. Many students have trouble with mixed quizzes, so please study all facts in order to be ready for the mixed quizzes.
We are finishing our unit of Non-Fiction Text Features with a project which will be completed in class. We will continue using Non-Fiction Text Features throughout the school year.
Another ELA focus for our class this week is on the the author's purpose of writing Non-Fiction articles and books. Authors may write in order to persuade, inform, or entertain.
Our class will continue our grammar study this week with a focus on adjectives.
Next, we will move on to sudden changes on Earth including: earthquake, volcanic eruption, landslide, and flood. We will also study slow changes on Earth including: weathering, erosion, and deposition. Some information is included in our Science Book and some is part of the packet that we are highlighting.
