GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY PREVIEW
The girls are coming off their 25th straight year at the State meet. This year they should continue on with that streak. The goals this year are the same as any other year. Qualify the team for the State meet and improve times individually. The girls have been working hard getting in their miles this summer and are very excited to get the season started! "We graduated a few seniors that will be missed but have some excellent senior leaders this year stepping into those new roles. Alongside our returning runners we will have some new ones as well, possibly making an appearance in the top 7 line up!" says Coach Osborne about this year's team. This is a great group of girls who are excited and ready for a great season. Mustang will again host the Night Race this year, "Under The Lights" at Wild Horse Park Saturday Night, August 28th. We expect an even better turnout this year with food trucks, snow cones, and event apparel for sale. It will be a great event unlike any other for Oklahoma Cross Country. This is the only cross country race of its kind in the entire state of Oklahoma! The team will also host the annual Western Days Stampede kids mile races and 5k fun run on Sept 11th. It's going to be a great year and the coaching staff can't wait to get started!

BRONCO FOOTBALL REVIEW
When asked about this season, Coach Blankenship had this to say, "We are excited about the potential of this year’s team. We have quite a bit of experience returning and we are as strong as ever. We expect great leadership from our upperclassmen this season. We have set a high standard in our program based on Character, Leadership, Loving and serving others, Respect, exceptional Attitude and extreme Effort. We expect our upperclassmen to be a great example in showing our young guys what we do here. We expect our young guys to reach that bar that has been set. Summers are jammed packed for our program." This summer the football team and coaches participated in these activities: HORSEPOWER Night, Middle School Coaches Clinic, Youth Football Camp, MS Football Camp, Passing League, Varsity Team Lock in and K-12 Summer Pride. POM TEAM PREVIEW
One thing the Pom Team missed last season was getting involved with our community. Coach Douglas is excited to see the girls volunteer and be more involved this year. They have already volunteered at the Regional Food Bank and are ready for their next community service event! Coach Douglas's expectations for any season is to support all of the Bronco athlete programs as much as possible as well as perform well during their competitive season starting in October. This team is full of talent and the pom staff is ready to take this program to the next level. The upperclassmen have already stepped up and become leaders over the summer. Coach Douglas will continue to look at them to set the example of what Mustang POM should represent. Since our first practice as a new team the freshmen have shown up and worked hard. They have set the bar high for themselves and will be looked at to continue that hard work and great attitude. The Varsity Team is all veterans so expectations for them are high as well.
If you are not a POM or dance parent most people are shocked to find that they do not stop. On top of having to learn cheers, band dances, and 8 counts for the games we cheer at, this summer the girls have learned 4 halftime dances per team on top of 2 competition dances with more to go. Several of the Pom athletes will also be competing with a solo, duet, or trio this year.

VOLLEYBALL PREVIEW
After finishing the 2020 volleyball season as the State Runner up with a 32-7 record this year's team knows what it will take to get back to the top. The Lady Broncos will be lead by new Head Coach Blake Newman. Coach Newman brings with him a variety of experience and the energy in the gym is exciting to see and hear. The 2021 version of the Mustang Broncos volleyball team will be full of experience and veteran leadership. The program expectations are sky high once again. This year's team expects nothing less than another run at the 6A title.
Coach Newman says " Our main goal is to stay focused on the task at hand. Our girls are not only putting in the hard work that it takes, but they are also setting the bar for the younger less experienced players. Passing on the intangibles and creating the (MOC) Mindset of Champions for the entire program." The team has been working hard as well as enjoying some time off the court getting to know each other while doing some team bonding activities.
