Born Robert William Flay on December 10, 1964 in New York City. Dropping out of high school at the age of 17 , he left school to start working in the industry that he found to be what he loved. He was a waiter and within being a waiter he learned the ways of how a restaurants works.

He has a total of !8 restaurants and across 11 states.

Throughout his life he has had a couple shows to show how to cook and how to make recipes for food that many people would enjoy
