Camp TechTerra, held during fall, spring, and summer sessions, is a STEM camp that offers programs for elementary and middle students to explore Coding, Robotics, 3D Printing, and Maker Education all in a hands-on learning environment.
Camp TechTerra helps students explore their world through science, technology, engineering, math and the arts, honing students’ creativity and developing competence and confidence. Taught by seasoned and enthusiastic teachers, the curriculum offers opportunities for students to:
● Learn to code using web-based and app-based programs
● Program robots and microcontrollers, learning to simulate, estimate and model
● Learn to take photographs and videos using digital tools to create Digital Stories
● Produce original creations with 3D Printing
● Discover, use and create with augmented and virtual reality
● Work in the Make it-Take it Station, imagining, designing and creating
The TechTerra curriculum, inspired by Maker Education and Project Based Learning, was developed by Susan Wells, a national leader in mobile-integrated STEM education and veteran public school educator.
