Mills Community House Association

Greetings and Welcome

Historic Mills Community House has been a cornerstone of Benzonia since the village's inception. This spring we are excited to highlight beautiful art inspired by, and created with plants from, our pollinator garden. Continuing in the building's original spirit of education, we are also host to a variety of illuminating and community focused presentations and events. A calendar can be located on our website at https://www.millscommhouse.org/

Trish Early's Pollinator Garden Butterfly Tiles

Local artist, Trish Early, designed and created beautiful tiles inspired by the pollinator gardens on the grounds. Her time and skills are greatly appreciated and the tiles have been installed in the Mills Hall bathrooms (upper level). Stop by sometime and check them out!

Big picture

You are invited to have a lasting impact

With our newest fundraising initiative, we invite our community to become part of this historic treasure! Bricks will be placed prominently along our exterior walkways, enhancing the grounds and showcasing our beautiful native and perennial gardens. Net proceeds from brick sales will be used for ongoing repairs and improvements to the building.

Brick includes:

1 4x8 brick

1-4 lines of engraving

1-18 characters per line

The Mills Community House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and receives no taxpayer funding; operating costs are partially supported by the interest from a small endowment fund, very modest rental fees, and annual contributions (tax deductible) from residents (both year ‘round and seasonal).
