Future Chef Regional WINNER!!!

Congratulations to Brynn Kendall 3rd Grader at Greywolf!

This year marked the 12th annual Sodexo's National Future Chefs Challenge. This fun cooking challenge encourages and builds confidence in elementary students across North America. These students not only learn about nutrition, healthy food choices, cooking techniques and presentation but they also sharpen math skills by participating in a good-natured cooking competition. After a brief hiatus, Tandi Wahlsten (SSD Sodexo Manager), welcomed the Future Chefs competition back this year. On March 18th Brynn Kendall won the district competition live at the Sequim High School and went on to win our region, in fact Brynn is 1 of 5 competing for the grand prize and National winner title. On April 25th Brynn recorded her cooking video shot by family friend and videographer, Jarrett Nelson. Her video will be posted on the Monday, May 1st with voting starting the same day. If you would like to watch Brynn’s video or vote for her recipe and video, please click on the link below.

We're CHEERING you on Brynn!!

New at Olympic Peninsula Academy (OPA) & Dungeness Virtual School (DVS)

For the 2023-24 school year OPA will be expanding slightly as we will be adding 16 more students to our enrollment. These planned additions will be comprised of eight 4th grade and eight 5th grade students. OPA will be separating the current 4th and 5th grade class configuration.

DVS currently will remain the same with 4.4 certificated faculty members serving K-12 students online. Further modifications to DVS staffing going into the school year will be determined by the number of students enrolled.

If you have questions regarding enrollment into either of these programs, please contact

LeAnn Parker OPA/DVS registrar at (360) 582-3403 or lparker@sequimschools.org.
