Stewart Stampede

Our Stewart Stampede fundraiser wraps up on Friday, November 4 with our fun run and glow party! Thank you so much for your support! Our goal is to make this the main PTO fundraiser of the 2022-2023 school year. If we hit our goal, we will not host a spring fundraiser. Funds raised will be put toward building our outdoor pavilion and the many functions of Stewart PTO, such as field trips, school safety, technology, and school events. 10% of all funds raised will go directly back into our grade level funds for our teachers to utilize in classrooms.

Individual goals:<$125

School goal: $100,000

Due to the generosity of our sponsors, all students and staff members are receiving a shirt to wear on Friday. This shirt will be worn on field day in May too, so please hold on to these shirts.

Gifted and Talented Student Referral Timeframe:

Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher. Referrals will be accepted October 3- December 16, 2022.

You may request a referral form from the front office or the Assistant Principal, Wesley Harness.

You will also find the link for the GT Screening referral form HERE.

You can also find the referral form and other GT information on the CISD GT homepage.

November 18

November 18th is the Friday before the Thanksgiving break. This year we will celebrate this day with a small event during PE classes. Students will have a Turkey Trot around the perimeter of the gym. Students will be encouraged to wear turkey shirts, hats and socks this day.

This decision was made because we know our families have put a great deal of work into preparations for the Stewart Stampede. We have however, scheduled holiday parties in December. We will communicate specific times after the Thanksgiving break.

Holiday Store

The holiday store will be open after the Thanksgiving holidays.

Dates for the holiday store are December 5 - 9. The PTO will send home more information soon.
