Irondale pick-up visits
Dear Irondale Community:
As you know from District communication, the Governor has ordered Minnesota schools to be closed through March 27, so that teachers can prepare for “Distance Learning.” Principals across the District have been working with our central office each day this week to create a robust plan for “Distance Learning,” which will begin for all students on March 30.
In an effort to ensure students are prepared to start learning from home by March 30, we are asking all students and families to come to Irondale to pick up a school-issued Chromebook computer on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 24 and 25 of next week (see the schedule for pick-up below).
Chromebook pick up will be pull up service only at the assigned locations (see chart below). If students need to pick up materials from their locker, pick up musical instruments, or have a parent pick up any needed emergency medication given to the school we ask that you park in the horseshoe lot and check in with a staff member at the main entrance. Due to social distancing, we will only allow a limited number of students and/or parents to enter the building at a time. We will have staff on hand to ensure adherence to social distancing when entering and moving throughout the building. We do ask that only one parent come with one child, if possible.
More information is to follow in the coming days regarding Irondale’s plan for Distance Learning. If you have any questions or concerns pertaining to your scheduled time you are welcome to reach out to your student’s dean or Admin Intern Breanna Peloquin.
Thank you, and please stay safe and stay healthy.
