Announcements
- Read Across America Week: Thank you to everyone for participating in all of our fun activities last week. A special thank you to Ane Starr and Betsy Morrow for their help in planning and preparing for the week! A very special thank you to Betsy Morrow for giving up her library class time for our buddy read with visitors!
- If you have students who handed in their Poetry Town booklet, please let them know they will receive their prizes by the end of the week!
- Roster Event Practice: We had a great first practice. If you didn't receive a phone call from the office, your attendance came through as needed. Please remember once you check off your students, you must select "Absent, Accounted For, etc." Then make sure to toggle "Mark as Complete," and make sure it stays green before closing out the program.
- Reminder: Our student monthly challenge for March will be thinking about your thinking. Please look for students who are reflecting on or sharing their thinking and strategies when constructing new learning and add their name(s) to a golden ticket in the bowl!
Weekly reminders:
- Parents and students depend on us for Social Media posts- please send to Michelle as often as possible!
Rubicon Atlas Update (From Lisa Carter)
Rubicon Atlas Updated - Toni and worked for a good part of the day last Friday to update Rubicon Atlas.
We deleted all teachers who no longer are employed by Region One;
We archived all of the building-level maps for Grades 4-8 ELA and updated the new units created by Carly so that the “users” list include:
all of the grade 4-8 ELA teachers, and
Title I and Special Education Teachers
We archived all building maps for Grades 4-8 Math and updated the new units created by Sue in the same manner as ELA. We left the Region One consensus maps for the Compacted Math course;
When teachers go into Rubicon, if they type their grade, content area (for ELA or Math) and their name, they will see only the units developed by Carly and Sue as well as Compacted Math.
If teachers want access to their building-level maps, they should let Toni or me know as soon as possible so we can give them access and discuss how to transfer the information that they need to the Regional maps.
