Staff v. 5th grade Student Competition!
Staff and 5th grade students competed in a game of Castles and Towers. Each 5th grade class played a full game against the staff team. The staff team won 2-1 over the 5th grade classes. It was a great competition that all students enjoyed watching!
Kids Heart Challenge - Goal Achieved!!!
Our students set a goal to raise $5000 for the Kids Heart Challenge Fundraiser for the American Heart Association this year!!! When students met the goal, Mrs. Thibault and Mrs. Nelson agreed to become human sundaes. Our students met this goal and went beyond raising $6371.14!!! Top fundraisers were able use sundae toppings to make human sundaes out of Mrs. Thibault and Mrs.Nelson. Our top fundraisers were Parker B., Jaxon T., Brynley S., Ada C., Rowan M., Mrs. Mergens, Norah P., Brayden S., Eden A., Amaya S., Jace P., Leland H, Kash Z., and Kellan H. Great job, Everyone!!

Change in Elementary School Hours for 2022-23 School Year
In other news for the 2022-2023 school year, we are changing the student school start time for elementary students. The elementary school day will begin at 8:05 AM each day and continue to end at 3:07 PM. We have found that most of our elementary students are already at school by this time each day and many are in the classrooms with their teachers. We want to be able to count this morning time as part of students’ instructional time. These additional 15 minutes each day will give teachers and students an extra 44 hours during the school year for learning. We have also heard that this may ease the load for working parents dropping students off and heading to work.

Transportation Information
Bus Riders - BPS has a new app for parents to download called Ride360 for all bus riders. This is a fabulous tool to let you know bus stop location/times and it lets you know the exact time your child gets on/off the bus.
Bus Fees - The transportation department will be sending out invoices through My School Bucks in September. You will pay for transportation fees through the website.
Bus Passes - Lost bus passes cost $25 to replace. Please email or call the office to order a replacement bus pass if needed.
