Gale

Citation Tips for Gale

Ovid

Ovid is a scholarly collection of articles and books covering the field of nursing as well as allied health professions.

Ovid has three options:

Searching Tips for Ovid

  • BASIC SEARCH is used for searching a large topic. Use keywords or a statement. Limit the search to 4 or 5 Stars.
  • ADVANCED SEARCH is for more precise searches. Use only 1 database when using this option.
  • LIMITS:
  1. Use "original articles" to search for experimental or other in-depth analysis articles.
  2. Use "review articles" for a overview of a topic. Usually these documents have a summary of knowledge and progress of the topic.

Citations Tips for Ovid

After viewing the PDF, hit the back button. Then click the check box next to the number of your article. Click on “B Export” at the top tool bar of the results. Choose where you want to export the citation to, usually Microsoft Word. Select the citation style needed. Then hit Export Citations.

ProQuest

ProQuest has three options:

Image Quest is helpful when you are looking for a graphic to place in a presentation or research paper. This database also helps in citing the image.
Access to our online catalog is available at the link above. Reference and Reserve books may only be used in the Library. Circulating books may be checked out for 28 days. Reserve and circulating books require a valid Trocaire ID to be checked out. Books not available in our collection can be obtained through AcademicSHARE.
