May 26 Last Day of School

This is just a reminder that May 26 is the last day of school. Students will be dismissed at 12:20 pm with the intent that buses will exit the parking lot at 12:25 pm. Parent pick-up will begin at 12:15 pm. On the final day of school, we ask that eLearners continue to log in for attendance.

Thank You!

Parents and Guardians,

Your support during this most unusual school year has been nothing short of amazing! It has been a true pleasure watching your resilient children learn and grow while navigating a new normal because of the pandemic. Our hope is that all of you are able to enjoy summer and make wonderful memories. To our fifth grade students and families, you will be missed. We wish you good luck at JMMS! Remember to represent Amherst in the best way possible. To our families relocating, best of luck to you in your new journey. To our students returning in August, we look forward to having you back with us at Amherst for another exciting school year.

Thank you again for your continued support this year.

Devices G3, G4, G5

Students currently in grades 3, 4, and 5 who will be enrolled in Jackson Local during the 21-22 school year will bring home their devices, cases, and chargers for the summer. Please help your child keep track of these materials. As a rule of thumb, the computer should ALWAYS stay in its case. The Technology Department will be quite busy this summer with various projects. If you experience a technology issue with your child’s device, there could be a delay processing your request as schedules are adjusted. Please complete the information located here if you experience an issue with your school-issued device.

Summer Technology Resources

Many parents have asked about the summer availability of the technology resources that your child utilized throughout the school year. Polaris will become inaccessible once school ends. However, Clever will be available until July 23rd. Most students are quite comfortable accessing the digital resources their teachers have linked in Clever.

Below are the subscription resources your child can continue to access throughout the summer.
