What do we have to wear?
The Saudi Embassy advises women to dress conservatively in public; that means wearing dresses ankle-length with long sleeve and not pants. In many areas, particularly the capital, Riyadh, women are pressured to wear a full-length black covering called an abaya and to cover their heads.
What should I plan to eat? What should I avoid to eat?
The Arabian people have consumed the same type of food for thousands of years. Some of the common food items in Saudi Arabian cuisine include wheat, rice, lamb, chicken, yogurt, potatoes and dates.
Islamic dietary law forbid the eating of pork and the drinking of alcoholic beverages and don't eat slaughtered animals except chicken, lamb, and fish.
