AASL Conference

On November 5-8, Miss Engler attended the American Association of School Librarians National Conference in Columbus. I attended great sessions on Research Skills, Collaborating with Public Libraries, and Literature. In addition, I was able to meet several Young Adult authors. One of the books I got autographed, Last Stop on Market Street by Matt de la Pena and illustrated by Christian Robinson, was just named the 2016 John Newbery Winner and is also a Caldecott Honor Book and Coretta Scott King Illustrator Honor Book.

INFOhio Electronic Resources

On Wednesday, December 9 Miss Engler went to the CCSTV11 studio to tape a segment on INFOhio Electronic Resources for the Tips for Preschool Parents program. This segment was shared with all 21 of the INFOhio Information Technology Centers around the state of Ohio. I received a very nice thank you letter from Laura Sponhour, Outreach Specialist for INFOhio and a congratulatory letter from Superintendant Adrian Allison.
