Fourth Grade Arts Day
Over 3,000 fourth grade children from the six elementary schools in our region have participated in this special day. Professional artists from the tri-state area immerse the students in the visual, musical, and dramatic arts through workshops and stage performances. Arts day operates through the cooperation between public and private schools, businesses, and organizations from the six towns of the Northwest Corner.
Thank you to all of our local Kent businesses that have helped to support Arts Day. Also to our local artists who have donated their time to give our students an in-depth arts experience each year. Enjoy pictures below from our day this year!

The March Board of Education meeting was held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019.
Michelle Mott recognized the Board of Education members for Board Appreciation Month. We are very thankful for their dedication to and support of our school.
The board received a report of the Region One budget expenditures for 2018-2019 and proposed budget for 2019-2020. It was reported that Middle School sports would remain the same for the next school year, and regionalization would not be implemented.
Board members voted to send a letter to the "Kent Streetscape Committee" communicating their concerns that sidewalks from Route 341 to Kent Center School was not on the original improvement plan.
The Board of Education budget was presented to and approved by the Board of Finance on March 26, 2019.
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in the Kent Center School library. If you plan to attend, please enter through the exterior doors near the library and computer room.
