Hankins Highlights
The Happenings of Room 11
Notes from Mrs. H.
1. As the temperatures are plummeting closer to freezing please remember to send your child with a coat, gloves, hat, and scarf. It gets very cold out at recess and I want to make sure everyone can keep warm.
2.. Please make sure that you are packing a quick and healthy snack for your child.
3. New homework routine will be sent out Monday. Students will be expected to read their "homework book bags" books nightly. I will also be sending home a packet of math homework to be turned in Friday. Please complete one page a night.

This Week's Learning
Reading: Our reading focus will be making text to text connections. We will be comparing stories and making connections about the characters, settings, conflicts and solutions.
Content: In content we will be exploring matter. I am so excited for this unit! Students will be participating in several experiments to prove the three states of matter (solid, liquid and gas).
