Raider Reminders!
February 20-23
Meet Katie Kortokrax!
Do you have a nickname? "Katie K", "K-Mac" (I used to be a McCarthy), and "Korto".
What position do you hold in the building? 9th grade Assistant Principal
What's something interesting about you? It's still a mystery to me, but I had both my kids exactly 5 weeks early. After the second one, my doctor gave me her professional opinion: I'm "more of a microwave than an oven".
What is something most people don't know about you? When I was in 10th grade, I super-glued my left eye shut. To be fair, it was dark and I was in bed. I thought I was using a tiny, sample bottle of contact solution but understood very quickly that that wasn't the case the moment it hit my iris.
What do you like to do in your free time? I love to go camping with my family (when it's above 60 degrees). I enjoy taking my kids and dog for walks on Solomons Island. I am addicted to listening to audio books on my commute to and from work.
What's your favorite thing about being a staff member at LHS? I've been here for 7 months now, but I feel like I get to know someone new (to me) each week! The LHS staff is kind and welcoming, and I have felt like a Raider since you all returned in late August. I've been meaning to thank everyone for that :)
We would love to "highlight" each of you at some point throughout the year! Please click here to tell us a little about yourself.
