Great Smoky Mountains Field Trip
Join us for a field trip that your child will never forget!
Tremont Institute at the Great Smoky Mountains
Dear Bierbaum Third Grade and Fourth Grade Families:
We are doing some preliminary planning for an optional field trip to the Great Smoky Mountains next year.
This is a four-day, three-night adventure in which students have the opportunity to explore nature and get some hands-on science-related learning opportunities.
At this time, we are just trying to gauge whether or not there is enough interest to pursue further planning of this trip.
Some preliminary information to consider:
This opportunity would be open to just fourth and fifth graders next year (2021-2022).
We are not quite certain of an exact date yet. We are hoping for sometime in spring 2022.
The approximate cost of the trip would be $350 per student. This amount could change depending on how many students sign up.
Students would be accompanied by teacher chaperones from Bierbaum and possibly chaperones from another Mehlville elementary school.
Tremont does not allow parents to chaperone this trip.
I had the opportunity to be a part of this trip while I was a teacher in the Rockwood School District, and I highly recommend it. If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to answer them!
