Breaking Down the Wall: Essential Shifts for English Learners' Success
This 5-part live webinar series is intended for all levels of educators seeking to address the urgent need for breaking out of isolation and shifting to collaborative practices to enhance programs and outcomes for English Learners. Participants will engage in reflection and application of the book, Breaking Down the Wall: Essential Shifts for English Learners' Success, while making connections with TESOL's 6 Principles, The SIOP Model, and WIDA's Can Do Philosophy. We encourage participants to purchase the text, but it is not required.

April 21, 2021, 7 - 8 p.m., Chapter 7. From Assessment of Learning to Assessment for and as Learning
May 25, 2021, 7 -8 p.m., Chapter 8. From Monolingualism to Multilingualism & Chapter 9. From Nobody Cares to Everyone/Every Community Cares
Up to 5 SCECHs Available
Sessions will be hosted via Zoom and recorded for those not able to attend live. Up to 5 SCECHs available (pending approval) for attending live or watching the recording and completing the coursework (1 SCECH per session).
