GHSA contests temporarily suspended
Bryan County Schools continues to work with local, state and national organizations to monitor the impact of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). In an effort to minimize large community gatherings, the Georgia High School Association has called for the temporary suspension of all athletic contests. In response to this recommendation, the District has cancelled all high school and middle school competitions, including Band and JROTC, through Friday, March 27th.
Currently, students will still be allowed to practice and take part in activities at the school.
RHHS STAR Student Named
We are honored to announce our STAR student for the 19-20 school year as Haley Keller! Haley scored the highest SAT score in her graduating class of 2020, also scoring the highest in Bryan County! She will go on to compete at the Georgia Southern Regional Event next week. Dr. Brooksher paid Haley a surprise visit to announce her accomplishment during class. The Lion’s Club then later honored her at our faculty meeting, awarding her a $500 scholarship as well! Haley was asked to choose a STAR teacher to attribute her success to, and she lovingly chose Mrs. Sonya Compton. Congrats to Haley and Mrs. Compton for these great achievements!
