Our Mission Statement
PRAYER
Prayer for All Catholic Schools
Lord of Learning, we take time to thank you for the gift of all Catholic school communities.
From the young children in pre-kindergarten to working professionals in Catholic institutions of higher education, may all look for opportunities to bring your Good News into the world.
May the Gospel be proclaimed within our walls, and may all community members grow in the faith, hope, and love that originate in you alone.
Encourage those facing difficulties, gladden those in need of joy, and provide the gift of humility to those who rely on just themselves rather than on Your holy power.
May all Catholic schools unite in our common mission to evangelize in both word and deed.
We ask this in the name of Jesus, who is Lord of this school.
Amen
A Note from Mrs. Longden
There are nearly 6000 Catholic schools in the United States. Like the others, our school exists to serve a very important ministry. Bringing God into the souls, hearts, and minds of our students is our passion. For those who work in the school, we know that life is only possible with God, therefore we work on building a relationship with God and teach our students to do the same.
Academic study is the purpose of all schools, so of course our Catholic schools are expected to have stellar academic programs. Statics show that 85.24 % of Catholic school graduates go to four year colleges. Small class sizes are definitely an advantage for growth. The average class size in elementary Catholic schools throughout the nation is 12:1. For the high school the average is 10:1.
Students become leaders and confident learners as they navigate their own personal growth journey. A Catholic school provides an environment for the whole person to thrive.
Thank you for trusting in and believing in Catholic school education. You join millions of Americans and people all over the world who support this vital opportunity for students, their teachers, and their families.
Blessings,
Mrs. Longden
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week 2023
Theme: “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.”
We have a schedule of activities and fun for students the week of Catholic Schools Week. See the schedule attached of dress-up days and events.
Home and School will be having a Chili Dinner on Sunday, January 29th.
6th, 7th, 8th Grade Parents
We would love to have our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students come and help at the Chili Dinner on Sunday. Jesus taught and modeled the importance of serving others. The students have an opportunity to imitate Jesus and contribute to the continued growth of our school and community by helping at the Chili Dinner.
If your child is able to help with the Chili Dinner on Sunday, even if it is for a half hour or so, please sign up on the sign-up genius or email Mrs. Longden at principal@htschool.net.
The class with the highest percent of volunteers will earn a reward.
Grandparent's Day
We will have a 1/2 day of school that day. Dismissal will be at 11:30. There will be no busses for dismissal that day. Students can either go home with their grandparent or will need to be picked up by a parent.
Scholastic Book Fair
Tuition and Registration 2023-2024
Tuition and Registration Information for the 2023-2024 school year came home on Tuesday in the Family Folders.
Our enrollment numbers are key to sustaining and growing our school programs. Gaining a few new students each year benefits all families and staff members.
Having our kindergarten classes filled are critical to sustaining our numbers.
The best resource to recruit additional students is the testimony and the invitation from you, a current school family or supporter.
Please reach out to your friends, relatives, and neighbors. Invite them to consider our school in 2023.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
They are by request only, either teacher request or parent request.
Forms are due back today.
You will receive confirmation next week via email of your scheduled conference time.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the school office.

Cast into the Deep
Our parishes have just begun a Parish-wide monthly renewal of our common practices, etc. that we often take for granted, and may even have forgotten about their meaning and significance. This monthly renewal is intended for all parishioners, as well as our Faith Formation and school children.
Our parishes are renewing our understanding of these basics of our Catholic faith as a part of our Eucharistic Revival initiative. The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ being present in the Eucharist. In the January 8th bulletin, the "Cast into the Deep" flyer explained the holy habit for this month: Genuflection. The flyer is attached below.
