Industrial Revolution!!



McCormick, Cyrus created the mecahnical reaper in 1879.


The inventor is Robert McCormick, but his son Cyrus McCormick picked up where his father left off when Robert died. Cryrus finished the reaper. How to use it is when you get in the machine, you turn it on, and you start harvesting. It's like riding in a carriage. The purpose of the invention is that it makes farming more easier than to do it by hand. The invention occured on 1879 and, it first appeared in the United States. There was a need for this invention, because farmers wanted to harvest without trying to kill themselves in the hot heat. It's important because if the reaper wasn't invented, then farmers would harvest crops by hand.
