Ready, Set, Read is a book drive in memory of Mr. Clem Genteman, a lifelong educator.

He believed education was the foundation for all children. Teaching was not a just a job for Clem, it was "his mission." This year, we have chosen St. Vincent de Paul and St. Gertrude schools as the recipients of donated books. Our goal is to outfit their libraries with new children's reading materials in Clem's honor.

Thanksgiving through Christmas Day 2019 (Nov. 28 — Dec. 25)

Mr. Genteman spent 25 years as a principal at St. Vincent de Paul and 17 years as an educator at St. Gertrude with 60 years total in education. Once he was asked when he was likely to retire and he replied, "when the good Lord takes me," which is exactly what he did.

Rest in Peace Clem Genteman, 1938 — 2019.
