Why Cross Country?
- Because your child will be part of a team, and the team will be part of your child.
- Because cross country builds the qualities of successful individuals: Work ethic, perseverance, and self-confidence.
- Because running through our beautiful neighborhoods and canyons, and feeling the sun and air – it’s awesome. A good run is good for you. A good run is free and it’s always there, just waiting for you.
- Because the pride your child will feel running a little bit farther and a little bit faster than yesterday – it’s the absolute best.
Practice
Practice starts September 8, 2023
Monday & Wednesday (next two Fridays)
3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Sign In - Cafeteria
Sign Out - Cafeteria
Parent Volunteers
This is a volunteer-based program. If there are no volunteer coaches, there is no team.
“Who me?”
Yes YOU!
“I’m busy. I might not be able to make it to every practice.”
Volunteer, even if you have only a day or two per month to give. You are not expected to make every practice.
“I don’t know anything about cross country.”
Coaches Terry, Erin, Laura, and EB will give you the know-how. But in a nutshell:
Parent-coaches supervise the athletes. You don’t have to be a running expert to be a coach.
For volunteer paperwork, contact Angie Moore in BMMS Admin office (amoore@powayusd.com)
Sign up here for what you can do! Click link above or scan code.
Again, it does not have to be every practice and every meet.
Add your name when you can be there Monday/Wednesday practice or a Friday meet
