Message from Mr. Wunderlich
Dear Carlos Elementary Parents/Guardians:
I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. October is a month filled with change, both in the natural world around us and within our school community. We've already seen our students grow in their learning journeys, and I'm confident that this month will bring even more accomplishments and growth.
Our fall parent-teacher conferences will be held in the evenings of October 16th and 17th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on October 18th. This is a valuable opportunity to discuss your child's progress with their teachers and explore ways we can work together to support their development. While developing rapport and setting goals will be the primary purpose of these conferences, please feel free to ask questions about social and emotional development, behavior, study skills, etc. Please look for an upcoming letter explaining how and when you can register for this opportunity.
We believe that fostering a love for reading is an essential part of a child's education, and our school library plays a pivotal role in this journey. We want to remind you that you have the opportunity to monitor what books your child is checking out from our school library. For step-by-step instructions, please see the link here. We encourage you to engage in conversations with your child about their reading choices and to explore the books they bring home. By actively participating in your child's reading experience, you can support their literary growth and help them discover the joy of learning through books. If you have any questions or need assistance tracking your child's library selections, please don't hesitate to contact our dedicated library staff or the school administration. Together, we can encourage a lifelong love of reading in our students.
Thank you for your continued support, trust, and commitment to our school. We look forward to a fantastic October and the opportunities it brings for our students to learn, grow, and shine.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful autumn season.
Warmly,
Troy Wunderlich,
GMC Principal

World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser
Once all the money is turned in, I will announce this year's top seller as well as the final amount raised for our school! Watch for it in the November newsletter. Any money that still needs to be turned in can be done in the office. Your support is appreciated!
School Hours and Attendance
School begins at 7:55 AM and dismisses at 2:25 PM. Students are to arrive no earlier than 7:25 AM and must be picked up by 2:25 PM.
If your child will be late or absent from school, please contact the school before 7:55 AM. Your child’s safety is our main concern. If your child is unverified at the beginning of the school day, we will attempt to call parents first. If we do not reach a parent/guardian, we will then contact your student’s emergency contacts. If they are unaware of your child’s whereabouts, law enforcement will then be notified to help locate your child.
