DIGNITY

What Separates Dignity...

Pope Francis asserts in a video in the link below that our Dignity is irremovable. We can never stop being children of God. How beautiful, reassuring and challenging!

OCTOBER IS ROSARY MONTH

It's ok to admit...

Let's face it: many of us (including yours truly) are not aptly well-versed on the rosary. However, it's never too late to learn how to pray the Rosary, and this month is a great time to learn more.

The link immediately below is a really good breakdown of how to pray the rosary. The other link is about Vin Scully's (the iconic best broadcaster in baseball history) contribution to praying the rosary.

Maverick Assembly

Thanks to our presenters and parents who attended our 1st Annual Maverick Assembly! Dr. Iliana Alanis (below), Ms. Veronica Ball and Ms. LeeAnn Garza did a superb job, and the attendees were engaged despite the Saturday morningness and the lack of breakfast taconess (mea culpa).

Another great breakfast! Our fantastic parents and K5 staff made great food and over $1,100 at their breakfast. Woo Hoo!

SUCCESSMAKER STARTS ON TUESDAY!

Please note that we will be offering free Successmaker tutoring before school in the library from 7:00 to 7:45 and after school from 3:45-4:45 (location TBD, but pick up and drop off will be in the cafeteria) on Mondays through Thursdays starting this Tuesday. If you would like your child to attend, please contact Ms. Clemens at:

Clarification About Pink Dress

We have been excited about the students' participation in Pink Fridays this month. Please note that this does not include permission to wear jeans or sneakers, unless they are pink.

Here is the basic guideline: students may wear pink, but whatever is not pink should be uniform.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Halloween Festival

The time is rapidly approaching for a fun, festive night!

If you are interested in volunteering in some capacity and earning service hours, please contact any or all of the following ladies:

Halloween & All Saints Day

As a heads up, we will have the students dress up on Halloween. However, students must dress as a Book Character, and one that is appropriate. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Clemens.

That said, All Saints' Day on November 1 will be the primary focus. Each class will select a Patron Saint for their classroom, and they will present on that Saint the rest of the school on All Saints Day.

CATHOLIC LIFE RAFFLE TICKETS

These are available in the Library for pick up. This is our mandatory Fall Fundraiser. The money you raise goes straight to you; you keep it, as the $250 is taken out of your FACTS account.

HEALTH SCREENINGS

These will continue on October 11.

HFF 5K

Please register below. LET'S DO THIS!
