Born April 16th 1971.Died March 31st 1995.Married Christopher "Chris" Gillbert Perez. Her band was called Selena y los Dinos.
Known as the "Mexican Madonna" and "Queen of Tejano Music".Released her first album at age 12. April 16th is known as "Selena Day" declared by George W. Bush.

Death

Murdered by Yolonda Saldivar.June 2006 she was honnored with a life sized bronze statue " Mirador La Flor" in Corpus Christi.Burried at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi.The judge had the gun smashed into bits and thrown into the Corpus Christi Bay.
