Did you know in some rain forests it will rain 1 inch a day every day of the year? It's a very rainy place! Some animals that live in the rain forest are: the caiman, the frilled neck lizard and the keel billed toucan. Plants in the rain forests are: orchids and epiphytes. Caiman

Caimans live most of their life in freshwater. They live in the rain forest and they will live in slow moving water. Caimans swallow their meat whole even piranhas! They also like to eat more fish, turtles, reptile and mammals. Caiman like to hunt during the nighttime.

The Frilled Neck Lizard lives in the trees. They live in the forests of Australia and New Guinea. Lizards eat other lizards. They like meat!

This toucan mostly eats fruit but also eats bird eggs, insects and tree frogs. It lives in small flocks and isn't a good flyer.

Epiphytes are plants that do not have roots. They live on other plants! How amazing! They have developed ways to get water and nutrients. Many epiphytes can grow on 1 tree and can weight 1 ton.
